Jewellery Care

Precious metals and gemstones are sensitive to their environment and will naturally react to air, moisture, and contact with the skin. Mindful care is necessary to maintain their appearance and structure over time.

General Care & Keeping

To reduce wear and maintain your jewelry in good condition, we recommend the following:

• Remove jewelry when bathing, showering, exercising, or sleeping. Also remove rings when packing or moving around clothes or objects with your hands.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to water, moisture, heat, and cleaning or other chemical products.

• Apply perfume, hairspray, and cosmetics before wearing jewelry.

• Clean using warm water, mild dish soap (no detergents), and a very soft brush.

• When rinsing, place the jewelry in a glass or bowl of water rather than directly under the tap or in the sink.

When not in use, it is recommended to store jewelry in boxes or pouches with padded compartments for rings and hooks for necklaces and bracelets to minimize friction and tangling.

Solid Gold

All our gold jewelry is made in solid gold, never plated. Solid gold does not oxidize or tarnish, but it can be affected by friction, impact, and abrasion.

• Clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush or cloth.

• Avoid abrasive products or mechanical polishing.

• Store gold pieces separately to reduce surface contact with other jewelry.

Minor surface marks may appear with regular use and are considered normal.

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver naturally develops oxidation when exposed to air, moisture, chemicals, and substances from the skin.

To maintain the surface:

• Use a silver polishing cloth or a gentle silver dip when necessary.

• Avoid frequent or aggressive polishing, as sterling silver is a relatively soft metal.

Heavier or sculptural silver pieces may develop small scratches or surface marks over time. These are the result of normal use and are not considered defects.

Gemstones

Gemstones are natural mineral materials with varying levels of hardness and durability.

• Clean with warm water, mild soap, and a soft brush.

• Avoid strong impacts, sudden temperature changes, and chemical exposure.

Although suitable for everyday wear in many cases, gemstones can chip or crack if handled improperly. Gemstones are vulnerable when they hit hard surfaces, including through small, accidental impacts that frequently go unnoticed. Removing jewellery when handling objects, furniture, or clothing is strongly recommended, as threads can easily catch and compromise the setting or stone.

Pearls

Pearls are organic materials and require particular care.

• Wipe with a soft cotton cloth after wearing. Do not clean pearls with detergents or abrasive materials.

• Avoid contact with perfumes, cosmetics, and chemicals.

• Always put on pearls after applying personal care products and remove them before.

Store pearls separately to prevent scratching.

Wear & Maintenance

Surface changes such as scratches, oxidation, or minor marks occur naturally with use and time. These are considered normal wear and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece.
